HiLook DVR-208Q-M1 is an 8 channel 3K/5MP Lite hybrid DVR with Motion Detection 2.0, human and vehicle detection, H.265 Pro+ compression, audio over coax, HiLookVision remote viewing and 1 SATA hard drive bay up to 10TB.
Storage : No HDD
The HiLook DVR-208Q-M1 is an 8 channel hybrid CCTV DVR designed for homes, shops, offices and small business security systems.
This recorder supports multiple camera signal types, including HDTVI, AHD, CVI, CVBS and IP. This makes it a good choice for upgrading older analogue CCTV systems while still allowing some IP camera flexibility.
The DVR supports 3K/5MP Lite recording and can also support IP camera inputs up to 6MP. With enhanced IP mode, it can support up to 12 IP camera inputs, depending on setup and configuration.
Motion Detection 2.0 uses deep learning to help classify human and vehicle movement. This helps reduce false alerts caused by rain, insects, lights, leaves or general background movement.
The DVR supports H.265 Pro+ compression, helping reduce storage usage while keeping good recording quality. It includes 1 SATA hard drive bay, supporting up to 10TB storage.
Audio over coax is supported with compatible cameras, allowing audio to be transmitted through the same coax cable. The recorder also supports two-way audio through RCA audio input/output when configured correctly.

Installer Notes
This is a good budget-friendly DVR for customers upgrading an existing coax CCTV system.
It is not a PoE NVR, so it does not power IP cameras directly. If IP cameras are added, they will need a separate power supply or PoE switch.
Do not advertise it as facial recognition unless your supplier confirms that exact feature. The safer and more accurate wording is human and vehicle detection.
