The Hikvision iDS-7208HUHI-M1/XT is a professional 8 channel AcuSense hybrid DVR designed for analogue and Turbo HD CCTV systems that need smart detection, reliable recording and remote viewing.

This recorder supports 8 BNC analogue camera inputs and works with multiple signal types, including HDTVI, AHD, CVI, CVBS and IP. This makes it a strong choice for upgrading older CCTV systems where existing coax cables may still be used.

The iDS-7208HUHI-M1/XT supports recording up to 8MP resolution, giving customers the option to use higher-resolution analogue cameras when the correct camera type and cable quality are used.

With AcuSense technology, this DVR can help focus on human and vehicle events, reducing unnecessary alerts caused by rain, insects, leaves, shadows or general background movement. It also supports Motion Detection 2.0 and AcuSearch to help make searching and playback faster.

Installer Notes

This is a good recorder for customers upgrading an existing coax-based CCTV system but still wanting smarter features than a basic DVR.

It is not a PoE NVR, so it does not power IP cameras directly. If IP cameras are added, they need to be powered separately using a PoE switch or suitable power supply.

For best results, use good quality coax or full copper network cable depending on the camera type. Poor cable quality can affect image quality, audio over coax and overall system reliability.
