It includes 16 Gigabit PoE ports for powering IP cameras and other PoE devices through network cable, plus 2 Gigabit fibre/SFP uplink ports for network expansion and longer-distance connections.
With a total PoE power budget of 225W and up to 30W per PoE port, this switch is suitable for powering multiple IP cameras, including many standard PoE and PoE+ CCTV cameras.
The DS-3E1518P-SI supports IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at PoE standards, making it compatible with a wide range of IP cameras and network devices.
For CCTV installations, the PoE watchdog feature is especially useful. It can automatically detect cameras that stop responding and restart the relevant PoE port, helping reduce downtime and manual site visits.

This is a strong switch for larger IP CCTV systems where reliability and management features matter. It is much better suited for commercial CCTV than a basic unmanaged PoE switch.
The 300m long-range mode depends on camera model, cable quality and installation conditions. For best results, use good quality full copper Cat5e or Cat6 cable.
