- The Dahua IPC-PDW3849-A180-AS-PV is a professional 2x4MP TiOC panoramic IP PoE CCTV camera designed for wide-area security coverage. Instead of using one standard lens, this camera uses dual 4MP lenses to create a stitched 180° wide-angle image, helping cover large spaces with fewer blind spots.
- This makes it a strong choice for shops, warehouses, yards, car parks, offices, commercial buildings and wide entrances where one normal camera may not cover enough of the scene.
- The camera can output up to 8MP resolution at 4096 × 1860, giving a wide panoramic view with strong image detail. The fixed 2.8mm dual-lens design is made for broad coverage rather than close-up zoom, so it is best used where you need to see the full area, not zoom into one small point.
- As part of Dahua’s TiOC range, this camera includes active deterrence features such as warning light and siren functions. These can help warn intruders before a situation gets worse. It also supports two-way audio, allowing users to listen and speak through the camera when configured correctly.
- The camera supports human and vehicle detection, helping reduce unnecessary motion alerts caused by rain, insects, shadows, trees or general background movement.
- For night-time use, the IPC-PDW3849-A180-AS-PV includes infrared and warm light illumination. This helps improve visibility in low-light conditions and allows the camera to provide better usable footage at night compared with basic CCTV cameras.
- The camera supports PoE, meaning power and data can run through one network cable when connected to a compatible PoE NVR or PoE switch. It also supports efficient H.265 video compression to help reduce storage usage.

- This is a great camera when the customer wants to cover a wide area with fewer cameras. It is especially useful for shop fronts, warehouse entrances, car parks, yards, loading bays and wide building fronts.
- It is not the best choice if the customer needs optical zoom or long-distance number plate capture. This camera is designed for wide coverage, not close-up zoom. For number plates or long-distance details, a dedicated ANPR camera or varifocal camera may be better.
- For best results, use good quality full copper Cat5e or Cat6 cable and connect it to a compatible Dahua NVR that supports the smart features properly.
